Recently, GB/T 26237.5-2023"Information technology - Scalable biometric data interchange format - Part5: Face image data" national standard:was officially released,and the standard will be implemented startingon2025Year10[Month]1.

This standard focuses on the full lifecycle management of face image data, standardizing data formats, scenario constraints (such as lighting, pose), encoding protocols (XMLand binary hybrid encoding) and security requirements (liveness detection, encrypted transmission), providing a unified framework for cross-platform, cross-device data interoperability. Leveraging its technical advantages in dynamic face recognition and multimodal data fusion, CloudWalk Technology led the design of data format extensibility and the formulation of conformance testing plans, addressing pain points such as poor data interoperability and insufficient recognition accuracy in traditional systems.
After the standard is implemented, it will accelerate the large-scale application of face recognition technology in smart cities, rail transit, healthcare, and other fields.
