Jiangsu Rural Credit Union is a pilot unit for the national rural credit cooperative reform. It is a local financial institution with independent corporate legal personality, jointly invested by rural commercial banks and rural credit cooperatives across the province, approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the People's Bank of China, established on September 19, 2001. Under the leadership of the provincial government, Jiangsu Rural Credit Union is responsible for exercising industry management, guidance, coordination, and service functions for the province's rural commercial banks and rural credit cooperatives.
